Silvain began in early 2019 when three colleagues — each with automotive backgrounds spanning dealership work, fleet management, and customer service — noticed something missing in Singapore's car rental landscape. While there were plenty of options for basic transportation and flashy supercars, there was little middle ground for people who simply wanted a well-maintained, comfortable vehicle without unnecessary complications.

We started small, with a handful of carefully chosen sedans and a straightforward promise: clean cars, clear communication, and no surprises. We focused on building relationships rather than processing transactions quickly. That approach resonated with clients who valued reliability and honesty over marketing slogans.

Over the years, we've grown slowly and deliberately. We added the Seedling collection for clients who needed compact city vehicles, and later the Old Growth heritage collection for those who appreciate automotive history. Each addition reflected genuine demand from people we'd already built trust with, rather than chasing trends or trying to be everything to everyone.

Today, Silvain remains a small operation by design. We prefer manageable growth that lets us maintain the care and attention that defined us from the start. Every vehicle gets thorough preparation between rentals. Every client conversation happens without pressure or urgency. This isn't the fastest or most efficient model, but it's the one that aligns with the kind of service we'd want to receive ourselves.
